About us...
The Pas Regional Library is non-profit and funded by the Town of The Pas, the RM of Kelsey, the Province of Manitoba, & the Department of Culture and Heritage.
Revenue generated by book sales, overdue fines, photo copy / fax charges and Annex Rental is directly applied to the Library operating costs.

We are fortunate to have such a unique and progressive library in our community. The building our library is located in was originally a power plant – see our library history for fascinating details!
.
Residents, non-residents and visitors are invited to visit our library and explore our resources.
Our well trained staff will be happy to answer questions, help you find what you are looking for and offer any assistance you may require.

The Pas Regional Library is governed by a Volunteer Board, appointed by the Town of The Pas and the RM of Kelsey. Board Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month.

Residents:

All residents residing within the town limits or within the RM of Kelsey
are eligible for a FREE Library Membership. All you have to do is complete a library membership card application, provide proof of address and you are on your way!

Children under the age of 14 must have their parent or guardian sign their membership card application. Their membership card will remain at the library until they are 14 years of age.

Non-Residents:

For those individuals living outside the Town of The Pas and the RM of Kelsey, a " Non-Resident Membership" is available at the LOW cost of $25.00 per year for a single membership or $60.00 per year for a family of three or more.

Resident Memberships
and Non-Resident Single Memberships:

First time members may borrow one (1) item. When that item has been returned, you may borrow up to eight (8) items at one time.

Non-Resident Family Memberships:

First time members may borrow one (1) item per person. When that item has been returned, you may borrow up to twenty (20) items per family at one time.

Temporary:

For visitors to our area, temporary memberships are available. A $20.00 refundable deposit is required at the time of application, plus $5.00 per month for a Single, or $10.00 per month for a Family.

Temporary Single - Maximum of 4 items per loan period.

Temporary Family - Maximum of 12 items per loan period.

The deposit is refunded when all materials have been returned.

For your convenience, a deposit box
is situated outside the front of the library.

- Library and Audio books can be signed out for a two (2) week period. Overdue charges are 25 cents per day per item.
- DVD/VHS fiction materials can be signed out for two (2) days.
- Patrons must be over the age of 18 to borrow videos with a maximum 4 videos at one time. Overdue charges are $1.00 per day per video.
- Reference material cannot be signed out, but you are welcome to use it during Library hours.
- You may RESERVE materials that are being used by other members. Our staff will contact you when the material is available.

The Pas Regional Library Annex

The Pas Regional Library Annex seats 60 – 75 persons, is wheelchair accessible and has private kitchen and washroom facilities.

Individuals or groups renting the Library Annex are responsible for set up and take down of tables and chairs. We also ask that you leave the facility in the condition it was found in (clean and orderly). As a public building, consumption of alcohol or smoking is not permitted in the Library Annex.

If your group is looking for a place to conduct training sessions or meetings, give us a call.

Our Rental Rates:
