Help take back philosophy

from the “Ivory Tower” of the University,

and be a part of one of the oldest human activities.

No previous knowledge or understanding of philosophy

will be needed to fully enjoy the evening of discussion.

We will be seeking the answers to the questions we ask

about the meaning of life

such as...

“What is knowledge?”

“Does our existence have a meaning or a purpose?”

“Are we truly free?”

“What is true?”

“How should we live?”

“What is friendship?”

“Is there such a thing as just war?”

“Should economics rule human life?”

These are some of the questions

that philosophers wrestle with.

Come to the philosophy café

and participate in the search for answers.

Each meeting we will choose questions from participants

and discuss them in depth

using the critical thinking skills of philosophers.

Philosophy is all about looking for

answers to the big questions we ask

about the meaning of life.

Please come participate in a philosophy café group in the style of the “Socrates Café” groups.
